Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound Card Driver Windows 7
Well, I have had this problem for a long time, somewhat, since last March. I had a Nvidia 9400GT video card, and the same sound card and I thought it was a conflict between the two. I came on the board here, tried everything I was told and nothing worked. I sent my graphics card back, they sent me a new one, said the other tested ok, I still had issues. I bought another graphic card, Nvidia GeForce GT 610 and still the same problems.
At first I used to get a blue screen, I forgot what I did, and solved that, but my sound was acting funny still... now the only issues I have are my sound. I did a benchmark with 3DMark the other day and it showed my old graphics card driver was still installed, I don't see how as I used Driversweeper and cleaned thoroughly before installing my new graphics card. So I installed, the correct driver and my sound went completely out, when I try to reinstall my sound card driver, it will say 'you need to install Turtle Beach Riviera there is no device installed' or something like this. There are drivers for Windows 7 for the sound card, and I checked Microsoft Compatibility page and it says, should be nothing special that has to be done for installation. I did find out today, it says the sound card is 5v and I have PCI 2.3, which is 3.3v if I'm not mistaken? But I thought the slots would be different if it wasn't compatible.
I have a Foxconn AD7A-S3.0, an AMD Phenom II x 4 965 processor, G.Skill DDR3 1334 8gigs, Western Digital 250G SATA 600 hard drive, Lexmark 2400 printer and that's all I have connected. I did have a Microsoft Wireless mouse and keyboard, but I thought at one time it was causing problems so I got rid of them and now just have a Logitech USB mouse and keyboard.
When I look in Device Manager, Turtle Beach R Wave has a yellow asterick beside it and when I look in properties it says,'Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)'. If I look at 'Details' and open the drop down and look at 'Problem Code' it shows 00000034.
Oh, also a couple of months ago, I did an update on Windows and my sound went out, I did a restore back before the update and I got my sound back, but it doesn't work like it used to with Windows XP with 5.1 all the time it should. I had Windows XP before I installed 7 last March.
Actually I just looked, and my previous post on this problem is still here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/nvidia-geforce-9400-gt-pci-windows-7-constant/47cd46a4-6746-418c-ba2e-eda2bb13cedb
